Tony Foster R.I.P.

Tony Foster, one of the club's founder members, died on February 27th 2008. He had been ill for some time.

Tony was an enthusiastic participant in our early meetings at Brady's Pub. He presented several programmes, preparing each one in his usual meticulous fashion. His last programme was at our February 2006 meeting, when he played a series of extracts from well-known and less familiar concertos. The range of Tony's musical interests can be gauged from the list of composers represented in that programme: Antonio Vivaldi, Philip Glass, Bela Bartok, to name but three.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Tony's family in their bereavement.
