Frequently asked questions

What do you do?
The Shankill Classical Music Club was founded in September 2004 by a group of local classical music enthusiasts. We provide a relaxed and informal forum for members to share their musical passions and expand their horizons. We meet monthly to listen to and chat about a variety of recorded classical music. At each meeting, one or two members present a selection of recorded performances.

When do you meet?
Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of each month from 7:45pm-10.00pm. We take a break during the summer, so there are no meetings in July or August.

Where do you meet?

We are located in the village of Shankill, Co. Dublin, Ireland. (see map below) We meet at the SOFA Centre on the Lower Road, just off the village main street (Dublin Road). There is ample parking space in the centre's grounds.

How do I join?
Simply come along to one of our meetings, then decide if you'd like to become a regular. There is an annual subscription charge of €10 and members are asked to contribute €2 at each meeting to cover incidental expenses.
